“ Yum!! The ice cream here is delicious! They have a variety of flavors, tons of toppings to add for a charge & cakes you can order. This is a small one table place with additional tables outside in front. Most people grab and go however. Cups, cones, pints all ready for your selection. Parking on the sides out front. It is manned by teens in the evening. This is open year round. Normally this would be a straight 5 stars. The cleanliness needs work however. The light fixtures overhead are filled with dead flies and the viewable freezer floor is filled with spills and drips especially sprinkles. With any luck they'll have these items cleaned by summer. If so it would be the best place to get a sweet treat ”

“ Good homemade ice cream spot. Sometimes they'll have cool flavors like PB&J. Service is always good. They can get crazy busy in the summer. I have received freezer-burned ice cream one time. If you're going during a slower time or earlier in the season when ice cream may have been sitting for a while, go with a more popular flavor to avoid getting ice cream that may have been sitting. Otherwise 5 stars. ”

“ Mrs. Walker's is an ice cream shop in the eastern part of Toms River, and I went there all the time as a kid. They definitely have not renovated the place since the 70s. It could use an update. But I did like the window display. The young staff who work there seem to be very passionate about ice cream, and they were very nice and helpful. The ice cream is pretty good, but it's just not over the top. I've had better. However, their prices are lower than some of the competing ice cream parlors in the area. When I got whipped cream, I noticed they used it out of a can, and it wasn't freshly made whipped cream as at some other ice cream parlors. They were pretty good at enforcing Covid regulations, and they only allow a limited number of people inside at a time. Seating is all outside, too. So, everyone should feel comfortable going there. ”

“ Been coming here since my mom moved to the east side of Toms River and can honestly say that it's been the best ice cream shop in the area. I love the fact that it is homemade -- you can really taste and see the difference. A side anecdote: when I was learning how to make homemade ice cream in Italy when I studied abroad, I learned that homemade ice cream melts faster because there are no preservatives... this ice cream for sure melts fast even on a "cooler" summer night of high 70 degrees. My go-to flavor is mint cookies and cream. Has been and will always be my favorite from here. Super refreshing flavor with large chunks of Oreo cookies. Another favorite is the s'mores flavor. Whoever thought of the recipe is a genius because it's a cold campfire in you mouth. So delicious! Peak Hours: the peak hours are definitely after dinner time until close (7:45pm-10:00pm). There will be some wait time. COVID-19: Be sure to wear a mask! You need one in order to go in. ”
